Our 2025 work programme

ANSES's work programme, which is updated each year, enables it to pursue and develop its activities in order to keep abreast of health risks and new scientific possibilities. The publication for the 2025 programme sheds light on the actions planned for this year, in support of public action and all the initiatives designed to safeguard human, animal, plant and environmental health.

This work programme presents the Agency's principal activities in its five main areas of intervention: food, animal health & welfare, environmental health, plant health and occupational health. Discussed with the Agency's International Scientific Board and Board of Administrators, it implements the strategic orientations of the 2023-2027 Goals and Performance Contract between the Agency and its supervisory ministries.

As an agency responsible for all types of health – human, animal, plant and environmental – ANSES highlights in this programme all the initiatives that support a holistic approach to health risks. The "One-Health" approach, consideration of the exposome, and the collection and cross-referencing of big data all feature in a growing number of scientific studies and partnerships. The 2025 programme also gives greater visibility to the integration of climate change issues in its research and expert appraisal work.

Lastly, in the face of health crises and rapid changes in society and the environment, ANSES is committed to strengthening its involvement at both European and international levels and, more generally, to maintaining in 2025 its guiding principles that guarantee the quality of its scientific output and the confidence it inspires, in France and worldwide.
